Teflon Gasket

Gasket packing is a type of packing using a mechanical seal which fills the space between two or more contacting surfaces, generally to prevent leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression. One main difference from other packing types is that it is used to where the two joined objects do not move against each other. Gaskets are mostly made from rubber materials, metal or copper. Flange joint packing is also a kind of gasket, which is made to fit between two sections of pipes. They are usually in the shape of thin ring.
